News: Car crash shuts down section of I-79 SB in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA – A car accident was reported on the I-79 southbound lanes Tuesday afternoon according to KDKA.

The crash happened on the interstate near the Emsworth-Sewickley exit. Lane closures were in effect for some time causing backed up traffic to the Neville Island Bridge exit.

The cause of the crash and whether any injuries were reported was not immediately known.
