News: High-speed crash on I-79 in Cranberry Twp. leaves 1 injured
CRANBERRY TWP., PA – A Pittsburgh man was hospitalized following a high-speed crash on I-79 near Cranberry Township last Friday night.
According to a report by WBVP, the crash occurred shortly before 11 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the interstate near mile marker 79.6.
Troopers say 26-year-old Nicholas Fonzi was heading south at a high rate of speed when his 2008 Infinity FX35 slammed into the rear of a 2015 Subaru Legacy. Both vehicles skidded into the median before coming to a stop.
Fonzi was transported to Allegheny County General Hospital with unspecified injuries. Both occupants of the Subaru, including an 8-year-old child, were unhurt.
