News: 1 dead after crash on Mount Pleasant Rd in South Huntingdon Twp

WESTMORELAND COUNTY, PA — One person died Tuesday morning after a collision on Mount Pleasant Road in South Huntingdon Township, according to WTAE.

The fatal accident occurred on a span of road (Route 31) between Nichols Road and Renaissance Lane. It was first reported at about 6:00 a.m.

Few details have been shared, but crews had to extricate at least one person who was trapped in the wreckage.

One victim was pronounced deceased on the scene.

It was unclear whether anyone else was hurt.

An investigation into the cause of the crash remains underway.
