News: 2 hospitalized after rollover crash on I-279 in north Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH, PA — Two people were injured Sunday evening due to a rollover collision on Interstate 279 in Pittsburgh’s Northview Heights area, reports WPXI.
The accident happened on the northbound lanes near Exit 3 to Hazlett Street. Allegheny County dispatchers said first responders were called to the scene at about 6:57 p.m.
Little information has been shared at this time, but two vehicles appear to have been involved. One vehicle overturned and the other vehicle appears to have collided with a guardrail.
Two people were transported to an area hospital with undisclosed injuries.
A lane restriction was set in place as emergency crews tended to the scene.
