News: Woman arrested after SUV hits, injures 3 outside East Hills bar
PITTSBURGH, PA — Three people were injured, two critically, early Wednesday when they were hit by an SUV after a dispute in east Pittsburgh, reports WPXI.
The incident occurred outside a bar at the corner of Frankstown Avenue and Oakwood Street, in the city’s East Hills area. Pittsburgh Public Safety said first responders arrived on the scene just before 3:00 a.m.
An early investigation shows a group of people were engaged in an argument in the parking lot of the bar. At one point, a woman got into an SUV, which hit two other vehicles before striking three female victims.
Pittsburgh Police arrived to find two injured women on the ground. Both patients were rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, but were later listed as stable. A third woman who was hit suffered injuries considered non-life-threatening and declined medical care.
The female driver, who had fled the scene, was later pulled over and detained by Wilkinsburg police. After being transferred into the custody of Pittsburgh Police, she was transported to a hospital to be assessed for injuries.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
