News: Authorities called to wrong-way crash on I-279 in NW Pittsburgh
ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — A wrong-way collision involving a tractor-trailer was reported early Friday on Interstate 279 in northwest Pittsburgh, according to WTAE.
The accident occurred on the southbound highway near Camp Horne Road, just before 2:30 a.m.
Pennsylvania State Police said they received reports of a crash between a passenger car and a tractor-trailer. Details remain limited, but reports indicated one of the vehicles was traveling in the wrong direction just prior.
Despite the head-on nature of the wreck, no injuries have been reported. No charges were immediately filed.
