Medical Records Manager
Michelle Spencer is the Medical Records Manager at Chaffin Luhana LLP.Before joining Chaffin Luhana LLP, Michelle worked for nearly 20 years as a Human Resources Manager. She attended Big Bend Community College followed by Kaplan University where she earned an associate degree in Criminal Justice. Michelle serves her local community through City Council, is an EMT, and assists victims and witnesses of crime which gives her an invaluable passion to help others and aligns with her personal motto, “Making a positive difference for another.” This is consistent with Michelle’s role as an Intake Specialist with the firm where she helps clients with the initial stage of their case and discusses issues that our clients face due to their injuries.
Outside of the office, Michelle is active in outdoor activities, such as kayaking, hiking, camping, and exploring. She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchild. Michelle also volunteers and fundraises for Children’s Hospital, Make a Wish Foundation, and the American Cancer Society.
Charity Nominations
2023: Michelle’s Chaffin Luhana Foundation charity donation was to Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse this year. Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse is a local non-profit that inspires creativity, conservation, and community engagement through reuse.
2021: Michelle nominated Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals). This is a nonprofit organization that raises funds for children’s hospitals in the U.S. and Canada that support the health of 10 million children each year across the U.S. and Canada.
2020: Michelle nominated Autism Connection of Pennsylvania. Michelle says, “I was a big sister to an autistic child. I at first struggled trying to understand autism, but in time I learned a lot, and developed a close relationship with my sister. Autistic beings are truly gifted, and I feel this organization helps people to understand autism, how to cope with autism and guide families with autistic members to be successful.”
2019: Michelle nominated Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh. Michelle’s contribution will support youth who have trouble developing mentorship relationships, so they can reach their full potential. The organization offers three different programs to make meaningful matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”) in Pittsburgh, PA.
