News: 1 sent to hospital after rollover crash on I-79 in Sewickley Hills
ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — One person had to be taken to a hospital Sunday afternoon after a rollover wreck on Interstate 79 in Sewickley Hills, reports WPXI.
First responders arrived on the southbound lanes at Exit 68 to Mount Nebo Road at about 3:15 p.m.
Few details have been shared at this time, but two vehicles were involved. One vehicle was found flipped onto its roof and with heavy damage to its front end, while the other appeared to have sustained damage to its rear end.
At about 3:30 p.m., the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation had all lanes in the area blocked. Nearly an hour later, the scene had been cleared and all lanes were reopened.
As of this writing, the cause of the accident remains unclear. Authorities have not indicated any pending charges.
