News: 3 teens injured as car hits tree, overturns in Springfield Township
MERCER COUNTY, PA — Three teenagers were hospitalized Friday afternoon after a single-vehicle rollover crash in Springfield Township, reports WTAE.
State police said the accident occurred off Tower Road, under rainy weather.
A preliminary investigation indicates an 18-year-old Slippery Rock woman was driving at a high rate of speed for the conditions when she lost control. The vehicle veered off the roadway at a curve and struck a tree before overturning.
First responders transported the driver to a local hospital to be medically evaluated.
Two passengers, a 19-year-old West Newton woman and an 18-year-old Pittsburgh woman, were also taken to a hospital.
The extent of injuries remains unclear, but none appeared to be life-threatening.
