News: Child airlifted after being hit by car in North Belle Vernon
WESTMORELAND COUNTY, PA — A child was injured Friday morning when she was hit by a car while waiting for a bus in North Belle Vernon, reports WPXI.
The incident was reported in the 400 block of Fayette Street, shortly after 8:00 a.m.
Details remain limited, but authorities said the child, a Marion Elementary School student, was struck by a passenger car. It was unclear where the child was standing at the time of the event.
First responders had the child flown by medical helicopter to Children’s Hospital. At this time, no information on her condition has been released, and no charges have been reported.
An investigation remains underway.
