News: Injury crash closes part of PA-8 in Shaler Township
ALLEGHENY TOWNSHIP, PA — One person was injured late Thursday night due to a collision on Route 8 in Shaler Township, reports WPXI.
The accident took place near Duquesne Street at around 11:30 p.m. Local police and first responders arrived on the scene shortly after.
It was unclear what caused the crash, but one person was transported by ambulance to an area hospital. The extent of their injuries was not disclosed.
Channel 11 captured footage of tow crews removing a passenger car and SUV from the scene.
A section of Route 8 was closed during the emergency response. By 12:45 a.m. the next morning, crews had cleared the scene and all lanes were reopened to the public.
No other information has been made available, but Shaler Township Police continues to investigate.
