News: Man dies after head-on crash on PA-954 in Indiana County
INDIANA COUNTY, PA — A 25-year-old man died Thursday morning following a two-vehicle collision on Route 954 in Center Township, according to WPXI.
Authorities said the fatal wreck occurred at around 7:52 a.m.
A driver in a 2000 Toyota Tundra lost control on the slick roadway of PA-954, causing their vehicle to veer past the centerline. Moments later, the Tundra collided head-on with the victim’s 2007 Chevrolet Silverado.
Fire crews worked to extricate the victim, who was trapped in the driver’s seat of the Silverado. Authorities noted he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. At this time, his cause of death is pending.
It was unclear whether the other driver was hurt, but both vehicles sustained major damage.
