News: Multi-vehicle collision closes lane on I-279 SB in north Pittsburgh
ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — A multi-vehicle crash was reported Wednesday morning on Interstate 279 in Pittsburgh’s East Allegheny area, according to 511PA Pittsburgh.
The accident happened on the southbound lanes at Exit 2.0 to East Street. It was first reported by 511PA at 6:06 a.m.
Authorities have not shared additional information regarding the cause of the wreck, but at least one lone was blocked as a result.

At 7:08 a.m., more than an hour later, crews had cleared the scene and all lanes were announced reopened.
