News: Multi-vehicle crash closes lane on I-376 EB in east Pittsburgh

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — A multi-vehicle wreck was reported Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 376 in Pittsburgh’s Regent Square area, according to 511PA Pittsburgh.

The accident occurred on the eastbound lanes at mile post 77, near the M.L.K. Jr. East Busway overpass, and northeast of Edgewood Town Centre in Swissvale. It was first reported by 511PA at 1:26 p.m.

Authorities have not disclosed the circumstances of the crash, but at least one lane was blocked in the immediate aftermath.

By 2:14 p.m., nearly 50 minutes after the initial report, the scene was announced cleared and all lanes were reopened to traffic.


It remains unclear exactly how many vehicles were involved and whether anyone was injured in the event.
