News: NJSP called after big rig strikes two homes, rolls over in Connellsville
FAYETTE COUNTY, PA — Property damage was reported Tuesday morning after a tractor-trailer hit two homes and overturned in Connellsville, according to WPXI.
The wreck occurred in the 1200 block of Springfield Pike (Pennsylvania Route 711), at about 9:18 a.m.
Officials have not said what may have led up to the accident, but the front porch of one house was destroyed, and one other residence sustained minor damage. The big rig came to a rest after overturning and spilling its load onto a front yard.
The driver and a dog who was in the cab were not hurt, and no other injuries were reported.
A section of Springfield Pike was expected to stay blocked for three hours as crews worked to clear the wreckage. Motorists were asked to find alternate routes.
