News: Woman killed after car struck by train in Washington County

CHARLEROI, PA – A 22-year-old woman died when she was crossing train tracks in Washington County this past weekend.

According to KDKA, the woman was driving over the tracks at 4th Street and Railroad Way when a train slammed into her vehicle.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A relative of the woman said the tragedy could have been avoided if the tracks had proper safety equipment. Apparently, there are no crossing arms or lights at the location.
