Derek Barnett

Derek is an experienced marketing professional and cross-functional team leader, guiding diverse teams to success across the automotive and healthcare spaces. Most recently, he led marketing operations and product development for a national healthcare marketing agency, guiding strategy and long-term planning for numerous company initiatives. His focus has always been on enabling effective collaboration for teams, both in-person and globally distributed, through a combination of efficient communication and the thoughtful application of technology.

Before entering the marketing field, Derek graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Anthropology from Baylor University, where he developed a lifelong love of studying world cultures and exploring how people communicate.

Derek lives in Texas with his wife, daughter, and 2 spoiled cats. When he’s not working, Derek is a writer and designer of tabletop games as well as a volunteer in community organizations. He loves spending time with his family reading, playing games, and attending renaissance faires.
