About Kirsten Tjarks

Kirsten Tjarks is originally from Huntsville, Alabama, and recently relocated to Fort Myers, Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from The University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she also completed the Honors Program and earned dual minors in Legal Affairs and Spanish. During college, she studied abroad through the Universitat de Barcelona, an experience that further strengthened her interest in language and culture.

Kirsten began gaining legal experience while still in high school, working at a criminal defense firm and developing an early interest in the legal field. Since then, she has diversified her experience across multiple areas of law and judicial operations, building a background that includes civil litigation, personal injury law, courtroom operations, and case management. Most recently, Kirsten worked as a Case Manager with the 20th Judicial Circuit of Florida, where she managed a high-volume civil litigation docket and supported courtroom operations through all stages of litigation. One of her proudest professional accomplishments was helping navigate and reduce a significant backlog of civil cases following a judicial transition through proactive docket management and close coordination with attorneys and court staff. Prior to her work with the court, she gained experience at a nationwide personal injury law firm, where she worked on both pre-litigation and litigation matters and assisted with case management, client communication, and case progression.

Outside of the office, Kirsten enjoys staying active through yoga and Pilates, trying new coffee shops, spending time at the beach, and traveling to new places. She also enjoys spending time with her dog, Bugs, who often accompanies her on beach trips and coffee runs.
