Stacie Schmidt

Stacie joined Chaffin Luhana as Accounting Manager in 2026 with 20 years of accounting experience in various industries, both in the for-profit and non-profit sectors. She has experience in insurance, manufacturing, higher education, and healthcare. Throughout her professional career, she has sought roles focused on building new ways to approach problems, creating efficiencies and structure, and implementing programs to support colleagues as they develop new skills. Stacie is most proud of her work implementing new systems and developing training programs and documentation to introduce her colleagues to those systems.

Stacie got her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Clark University in Worcester, MA and her Master’s degree in Accounting from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA. She enjoys using both the creative and analytical sides of her brain to find new and interesting solutions to problems and connect with her colleagues.

Stacie has lived on both coasts: growing up in New Jersey, attending college in Massachusetts, and living in San Diego CA and her favorite place, Hawaii, before moving to Pittsburgh 13 years ago. She currently lives in Shaler with her husband, son, and daughter, and her dog, cat, three snakes, and 4 chickens. She loves to go for hikes (which mostly involves taking lots of pictures of flowers, bugs, and birds), to read, and to make jewelry and other crafts.
