About Kendra Goldhirsch
Kendra is a seasoned litigator who concentrates on complex product liability, mass tort, and catastrophic personal injury matters. She has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in the New York Metro area (2015–2019) for her advocacy on behalf of injured individuals. She has developed particular expertise in pharmaceutical and medical device litigation and has played key roles in some of the nation’s most significant mass tort proceedings.
Before joining Chaffin Luhana, Kendra practiced at a prominent national plaintiffs’ firm, where she represented thousands of injured individuals in pharmaceutical and medical device cases, including Actos, Cochlear Implants, Accutane, Avandia, DePuy ASR, Fosamax, Hydroxycut, Power Morcellator, and Seroquel.
Now, Kendra manages the day-to-day litigation of the firm’s Hair Relaxer, Zantac, and Valsartan dockets. She has been a member of multiple trial teams in pharmaceutical bellwether cases tried to verdict in state and federal courts, briefing successful motions on issues including jurisdiction, federal preemption, drug labeling, expert testimony, and regulatory matters. Over the course of her career, she has held numerous notable roles in litigations:
- Appointed to the Plaintiff Steering Committee in the In re: Hair Relaxer MDL.
- Served on the Actos Multidistrict Litigation trial team, which secured a multibillion-dollar verdict (Allen, et al. v. Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., Case No. 6:12-cv-00064).
- Managed discovery for the DePuy ASR MDL, overseeing review of more than 60 million pages of corporate ESI and preparing white papers used in corporate liability depositions.
- Handled law and briefing for the firm’s Accutane trial case in New Jersey Multicounty Litigation.
- Coordinated drafting of plaintiffs’ preemption briefing in the Fosamax MDL.
