About Steven Cohn
Steven Cohn has focused his career on representing plaintiffs. His practice is focused on representing injury victims and survivors nationwide in product liability and complex personal injury litigation.
He has litigated a wide array of cases against numerous companies, manufacturers, employers, and negligent third-parties, with numerous multimillion-dollar recoveries.
Steven has been actively involved in representing plaintiffs in the area of mass tort pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. He represented plaintiffs in the Philadelphia Mass Tort Program (MTP) In Re: Denture Cream Litigation and as well the In Re: Denture Cream Product Liability Litigation (MDL) in the Southern District of Florida. These cases involved plaintiffs who suffered hematological and neurological injuries from denture creams containing zinc. Steven has also represented clients injured by defective hip and knee implants in various state and federal courts across the country, including the Smith & Nephew R3 artificial hip implant mass tort litigation, which resulted in millions of dollars in recoveries for plaintiffs. Steven has represented clients in the General Motors vehicle ignition switch defect MDL in the Southern District of New York, and represented various plaintiffs on fuel gel explosion and pressure cooker explosion cases across the country.
Steven further represents clients who are the survivors of sexual assault in various venues across the county, including in the In re: Uber Technologies, Inc., Passenger Sexual Assault Litigation in the Northern District of California, and in various cases against the Boy Scouts of America. And Steven has represented numerous plaintiffs in the Paraquat Products Liability Litigation MDL in the Southern District of Illinois on behalf of those plaintiffs who allege that their exposure to the herbicide paraquat caused them to later develop Parkinson’s Disease.
Prior to joining the firm, Steven was an associate at a nationwide plaintiffs’ firm in New York working on complex class action and injury cases. During his time with that firm, he focused on securities fraud, consumer fraud, and antitrust litigation. He also handled vehicle design defect cases in the In Re: Ford Motor Company E-350 Van Products Liability Litigation (II). He further represented the lead plaintiff in the In Re: Citigroup Inc. Securities Litigation, a class action involving collateralized debt obligations fraud, which settled for $590 million.
Steven is a former Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and also a former law clerk to the Honorable William J. Martinez of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.
Steven resides with his wife and children in New Jersey. He enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and traveling.
