State Police report the motorcyclist had just entered I-70 from the I-79 offramp and merged into the center lane. While merging, his bike struck the rear passenger side of a Ford Explorer. The impact caused him to eject from the motorcycle and slide a considerable distance.

The victim, identified as Fred Blake Jr., was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead. No other major injuries were reported in the incident.
