News: Teen motorcyclist dies after crash on PA-28 ramp to Veterans Bridge

What Occurred

The motorcycle was discovered pushed over the guide rail and fell about 50 feet down onto Route 28. First responders located the rider on the bridge and transported him to UPMC Mercy, where he later died from his injuries. Authorities say the crash remains under investigation.

Victim and Identification

The victim has been identified as Carson Glasier, 18, of Fort Myers, Florida.

Investigation & Road Closure

While the cause is still unclear, investigators are examining possible contributing factors, including speed, conditions of the ramp, and safety barriers. All lanes in both directions were blocked during the response to the crash.
