Pennsylvania State Police reported the crash at mile marker 13.1, near Buttermilk Falls Natural Area. It occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. Sunday evening.
Details of the Crash
A 63-year-old man was driving a 2015 Dodge Charger eastbound at a high rate of speed in the right lane. He lost control, veered into the left lane, and struck the center concrete barrier. The force of the impact spun the vehicle counter-clockwise before it hit the barrier again.
Vehicle Position After the Collision
When troopers arrived, the Dodge was found resting between the left and right lanes, facing south. The crash caused extensive damage to the vehicle, but it did not strike any other cars.
