Elizabeth Township DUI crash injury lawsuit begins after a suspected DUI crash on Thursday in Elizabeth Township that left two young children injured. The crash occurred in the 800 block of McKeesport Road (Lincoln Boulevard), near the Grand Eagle Supermarket.
Crash & Suspected Impairment
Police say a woman was operating under the suspicion of being impaired by drugs and alcohol when the collision occurred. Authorities report that she was arrested for suspected DUI following the wreck.
Child Injuries
There were two child passengers, ages 8 and 4. Neither child was wearing a seat belt at the time. The 8-year-old, seated in the front, struck the windshield; the 4-year-old hit the back of a front passenger seat. Both suffered head injuries.
Medical Response
First responders transported the children to UPMC Children’s Hospital. As of the latest reports, both children are listed in stable condition.
