The crash occurred just before 9:00 a.m. at the intersection of 16th Street and Spring Way, between Penn and Liberty Avenues in Pittsburgh’s Strip District.
What Happened
The cyclist, riding south on 16th Street, was preparing to turn onto Spring Way when a van stopped in front of her. As she began to turn, an SUV behind the van struck her. The SUV driver said the van blocked visibility of the cyclist before impact.
Victim & Medical Status
Medics rushed the cyclist to a nearby hospital in critical condition. No updates have confirmed improvement or recovery status since the accident.
