News: Driver Cited After High-Speed Wreck on PA Turnpike in Big Beaver

Big Beaver PA Turnpike high-speed crash lawsuit

Big Beaver PA Turnpike high-speed crash lawsuit may follow an incident late Sunday night in Beaver County, where a driver was cited after a single-vehicle accident on the eastbound lanes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

When & Where It Happened

Pennsylvania State Police reported the crash at mile marker 13.1, near Buttermilk Falls Natural Area. It occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. Sunday evening.

Details of the Crash

A 63-year-old man was driving a 2015 Dodge Charger eastbound at a high rate of speed in the right lane. He lost control, veered into the left lane, and struck the center concrete barrier. The force of the impact spun the vehicle counter-clockwise before it hit the barrier again.

Vehicle Position After the Collision

When troopers arrived, the Dodge was found resting between the left and right lanes, facing south. The crash caused extensive damage to the vehicle, but it did not strike any other cars.

Driver Condition & Citation

The driver escaped injury. However, State Police cited him for traveling at an unsafe speed, which was determined to be the primary factor in the accident.

Risks of High-Speed Accidents

High-speed collisions often result in severe injuries, vehicle damage, and fatalities. Even when victims walk away unhurt, these types of crashes can endanger other motorists and cause significant traffic disruptions.

Legal Rights After a High-Speed Wreck
