The crash occurred Sunday afternoon near the intersection of Chaucer Street and Lincoln Avenue in the Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood of northeast Pittsburgh. Emergency crews responded to the scene at approximately 3:17 p.m. according to Allegheny County dispatchers.
What Happened
Pittsburgh police say that the vehicle drove over a hillside after leaving the roadway. It is not yet clear what caused the driver to lose control.
Victim & Identification
The sole occupant, a 75-year-old man named William Boulware of Pittsburgh, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner.
Investigation Underway
Authorities have not yet determined contributing factors. They will examine whether speed, vehicle condition, road conditions, or driver impairment played a role.
