News: Motorcyclist dies after crash on PA-380 in Washington Township

PA-380 Washington Township wrongful death lawsuit begins after a 34-year-old man from Shelocta died in a motorcycle crash on Route 380 in Washington Township.

Crash Details

The collision occurred in the 1200 block of the westbound highway (Fairview Drive), just east of Route 780, shortly before 4:18 p.m. Investigators say the rider was operating a 2003 Yamaha at a high rate of speed.

What Went Wrong

The rider failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, lost control of the motorcycle, and struck a guardrail. The coroner’s office reported that he died from blunt force trauma injuries. He was wearing a helmet at the time.

Victim & Response

The victim was found at the crash site. The Washington Township Police Department continues its investigation into the incident.
