When & Where It Happened

The accident occurred Sunday afternoon, around 3:50 p.m., on Unity Trestle Road just outside Franco’s Pizza in Plum Township, Allegheny County. Dispatch received the call at that time.

Crash Details

The motorcyclist, a 66-year-old man from Pittsburgh, was found critically injured at the scene. He was rushed to a hospital, where he later died from those injuries.

Hit-and-Run Aspects

After the crash, the other driver fled. Investigators found the motorcycle’s front bumper lying nearby. They later located a white Lincoln sedan believed to be the suspect vehicle but have not yet found the driver.

Investigation Status

Allegheny County police continue to investigate. Officers are urging anyone with information to contact 1-833-ALL-TIPS to assist with identifying the driver.
